Before completing your Medical Form, read these nine tips for things to consider when choosing your Emergency Contacts.
The following Medical Authorization and Coverage statement is included in the Liability Waiver.
In the event I become sufficiently incapacitated as to be unable to direct my own care, there is no one on the tour who can direct my care, and Big Round World is unable to contact my emergency contact(s), I confirm, by registering and paying a deposit for a tour, I authorize the provision of emergency medical treatment in the event of any injury or illness while participating in the tour including, but not limited to, X-ray, examination, anesthetic, medical or surgical diagnosis, or treatment and hospital care, as deemed necessary by a licensed attending physician. In addition, I certify that I have medical insurance which will cover personal accidents, medical expenses, loss of effects, and all other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience occurring to me, and that in the absence of this medical insurance coverage, or for costs not covered by this medical insurance coverage, I agree to pay all costs of rescue and/or medical services as may be incurred on my behalf.
Please fully read the Liability Waiver before signing. This form details your rights and liabilities. The following statement is included in the Liability Waiver:
"Big Round World reserves the right to decline to accept or retain me as a trip participant should my physical ability to complete the trip, behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip as determined by the Trip Leader. Trip Leaders have the right to require me to purchase hiking gear/ footwear if, in their judgment, mine is deemed unfit for the rigors of the trip. Trip Leaders have the right to disqualify me at any time during the trip if they feel I am incapable of continuing and/or if my continued participation jeopardizes the group's or my own safety and or enjoyment of the trip. Under these circumstances, refunds are not given."
For persons under the age of 18, the liability form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Acceptance of persons under 18 years old is subject to Trip Leader approval.
Receipt of your deposit and forms will be confirmed by email.
The Trip Leader will connect with you within two weeks regarding next steps, to review your forms for completeness and to answer your trip questions. Some trips require Trip Leader approval for participation to ensure trip compatibility and thereby individual and group safety.
Our trip prices are based on double occupancy of rooms. See below for information re single supplements. We do our best to price trips up to 24 months in advance in order to book the best rooms and rates for our participants. In certain circumstances we may have to add additional charges or modest adjustments to your tour cost. These changes, while infrequent, allow us to price our tours so that we can continue offering excellent experiences at a rate that is both fair to you and to us.
Potential Additional Charges May Include:
Currency Fluctuations: Big Round World trips are priced in US dollars. We reserve the right to increase a trip price in the event currency fluctuations between the US Dollar and the currency of the country to be visited exceed the norm for the previous two years.
Fuel Surcharges: In the event of significant fluctuations in global fuel prices, a surcharge may be added to cover increased transportation or logistical costs. We will always aim to provide as much advance notice as possible.
Vendor or Lodging Adjustments: Big Round World trips rely on third-party providers such as charter transportation and small lodges. If any changes in their rates or required services occur, a corresponding adjustment may be applied to your Trip cost.

Personal check payable to “Big Round World" and mail to Big Round World, PO Box 1337, Lyons, CO 80540, USA. Insert trip name/date in the memo line.

2. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the trip cost (and or the deposit amount detailed in the trip brochure) per person is required to reserve a space. The deposit amount applies to all trips unless stated otherwise in the individual trip description.
3. Final payment is due 3 months before the trip start date. You can pay by the method of your choice, as above. You will receive an email invoice detailing secure payment options including via PayPal using your preferred payment card. It is not a requirement to be a PayPal member to use this service. This email reminder will be sent to you 4 months before the departure date.
